Pompey have signed Niko Kranjcar a player regarded as one of the brightest playmaking talents in Europe.
Kranjcar has joined from Hajduk Split and signed a four year contract with Portsmouth.
The player was examined by a Pompey medical team that flew out to Zagreb where Kranjcar is getting ready for Croatia's Euro 2008 against Russia next week.
