Pompey taking cups seriously - James
With the thought of cup glory often taking second place to a good league performance Portsmouth goalkeeper David James has come out saying that Pompey will be trying to get to the final of the Carling cup.
Fans are expecting major changes from the team that beat Blackburn on Sunday, however it's still expected to be a strong squad.
He told The News: "Of course this is a competition Portsmouth can win.
"We're not afraid of any team in the competition and we consider ourselves to be capable of beating anyone.
"This season already we have played very well against Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester United and the only team we didn't play well against was Arsenal.
"We've got a full squad up here and with limited opportunities to get to finals or into Europe, we have to take this game and the competition very seriously."
