Diarra "Exclusive" Don't Panic!
The latest rumour doing the rounds is Portsmouth are set to sell Lassana Diarra for twelve million pounds. The stories started after Alan Nixon published an article in his paper "The People." I know they have to sell newspapers but this guy never seems to get a single article correct.
Below are a number of so-called, "exclusives" this man has published:
"Everton to sign Vagner Love in next 48 hours" (still at the club)
"Man City owner to sell 50% of shares in the club" (owns 100%)
"Bentley could be about to move to Everton" (went to Tottenham)
"Johnson set to make a move to Sunderland" (went to Fulham)
"Bolton will sign Joey Barton after his release" (still at Newcastle)
"Newcastle will sack Joey Barton after he is released" (Still at Newcastle)
"Man United to snap up Micah Richards from Manchester City" (No!)
"Pompey to sign John Arne Riise" (didn't happen)
This is also the guy that started rumours that Portsmouth would sell David James to Tottenham in exchange for Paul Robinson. I may well be proved wrong and Diarra may be sold for twelve million, I just don't think Pompey fans should panic over Alan Nixon's article.

Diarra for 12 million would be good business, however it would also be near suicide we already have a midfield decimated from the sale of Muntari and Mendes.
If such a deal was done in the future, it would have to be AFTER a suitable replacement was purchased AND at least one other quality midfielder is brought in.
Saying that though considering Diarra wanted to leave Arsenal and Chelsea because he was fed up with bench sitting I think he will stay with us for a while unless a European great team promises him regular first team football.

good buisness!!! if we sell diarra we wont have a midfield he is one of our best players and if he goes harry could go aswell and i wouldt blame him.. the only place i would like to see diara is at a big club eg man united, chelsea.. oh and get rid of nugent harry he is not good enough at prem level.. play up pompey!

We can't afford to lose him now following the sales of Muntari (understandable if regrettable) and Mendes (upsetting and the result I suspect of him spending so much of last season on the fringes), though of course we won't keep him forever. Diarra's no fool and must realise that he's got just as good a chance of further honours with us as with Spurs. He also knows that Harry will pick him every time if fit. If Spurs were in the Champions' League things might be different, but I can't see that happening any time soon, with or without him.

Spoke to him in France today, he just laughed...
