At least the cash should give Tony more money than Harry's getting at Spuds he's been told he's getting zip and has to only get loan signings.

1) How much of the say £20 million will Tony Adams get?

2) How much would you have to pay to get someone close to Diarra's ability.

Saying that, if Adams gets the cash hopefully we can add to our fairly weak midfield, and hopefully sort out our right sided problem once and for all.

To my mind Portsmouth are one of the best-run clubs in the Premiership, their fans set an example to the rest of the division and their players regularly punch above their weight. So - I'm sorry - as are many of the Spurs fans that I've spoken too this morning. Good luck with Tony Adams and I hope that you have a great season - you deserve it.

He is a character for sure and like it or not is part of the clubs heritage, he's kinda made a name for himself. Personally I think he should be left alone with the exception that he cleans up his beer stenched drunkard outlook and have some consideration for other supporters. A die hard pompey fan he might be, but he aint the only one, and he certainly isn't the only one who deserves to actually be able to 'see' the game after having paid good money to get in. It's been a while since I suffered the bells toll in my ears long after the games finished, but nevertheless, I'm still a fan and like everyone else I enjoy the atmosphere created but surely there are common grounds to be found for the benefit of all supporters.

Firstly, I think if it was going to happen then it would have already. Secondly, we are supposedly strapped for cash right now and whilst Appiah is allegedly a 'free agent' he will command a hefty signing fee and also will be a huge addition to the wage bill. I aint gonna happen anytime soon. I really do think we've missed the boat with this one (as we have with quite a few already it seems this year).

No Utaka and keep Davis in. Ten goals conceded in three league away games, oh my. Last season we were pretty solid!! James had the worst game ever

Four-nil city. This is a joke. Yes, this is off the back of three wins on the trot, but we've got chelsea at fratton on wednesday, and we're going to go into that now with knocked confidence, giving chelsea another advantage.

I'm severely dissapointed, but hopefully this is just a blip for us. We do need to strengthen our midfield though, so I'm hoping that's going to be Harry's and Sacha's main points of concern come the january transfer window.

If we were sold and bought by a bigger company, we'd have a load more money to get more world-class players in. We could elevate ourselves to easy reach of consistent top four finishes.

And I'd hate that. It feels like cheating to me. Look at teams like Chelsea. They've got where they are now because of all the money pumped into them by Roman. I can't stand them, because of that sole reason. They've bought their way into the top.

Anyway, even if Sacha sold pompey to a bigger organisation, I'm certain Harry would'nt use all of the money available to him. Remember, he's a true 'wheeler-dealer' manager, he thrives on bargain basement free transfers and loan deals.

I'm sure once the new stadium is up and running, we'll have more revenue coming in from that, and that will help us. But we have a key manager who can mould a team from what appears to be not a lot. I love the fact that people seem to have instantly forgotten that we won the F.A. Cup. We're the only team outside the top four who've won it in the past 13 years. We beat United for god sake! Surely that's testament enough to the old chestnut 'Money can't buy you everything"?

As others have pointed out in the past as long as we can keep our Premier League status is the new stadium thats more important with the extra revenue that can generate we perhaps can push forward until then we can not only not complete financially with the big boys we may even have problems competiting with the mid table clubs.

Where Pompey do have an advantage is that we are seen as a club going forward and players turn down other clubs to come to us.

Just remember money can buy you the best players but it cant buy you the best team.
