        Why do you think was thiery henry left arsenal just renewing his deal with arsenal and saying that he wanted to stay with his old club? I think that was the most surprising transfer that season.

    I dont think we will ever really know what went on, there has been a lot of politics around Arsenal over the last season especially with the departure of David Dein (sp?) and whether Wenger would sign a new contract.

    You know the bad thing about being transfered is if he did indeed want to stay, it was crappy for the management of the team to think it was in their best interest to send him to another team. I would think that is why they had him sign first so that he would still have a chance to play.

    To me Henry has been one of the greatest strikers of the last five years, and will be sorely missed at Arsenal. OK, so their current form shows that they can perform without him, but I personally don't think it will last.

    I think it was all politics, and he isn't interested in that - he just wanted to play football, so his only choice was a transfer. And Arsenal let him go too cheap as well - he should have been at least £20 million - certainly more than Darren Bent!

    Henry has been one of the greatest strikers for Arsenal and EPL but he left the club even he told in press many times that he will stay with Arsenal. Good to see him back in action and Goal sheet in UEFA champions league.

    Henry went cheap because he wasnt English or signing to another Premiership team.

    Thats why we import so many players, non-British players are cheaper for the same quality.
