Celtic get off lightly for fan on pitch but Dida doesnt

Celtic have gotten off very lightly when they had a fan go onto the pitch in their recient Champions League game against AC Milan.

With the penalties they could have had, such as playing their next Champions League games behind closed doors, banning from next years competition or a deduction of points, they had had what amounts to a light slap on the wrist.

A £25k fine, half of which is deferred for 2 seasons as a "good behaviour bond", so 12.5k, thats around a weeks wages for a player at Celtic, where as playing behind closed doors could have cost them millions.

Dida on the other hand has been handed a 2 match ban for his over theatrical swan dive as he completely failed to catch the fan as he ran past.

Personally I think its the fan that has been hardest done by, banned for life at Celtic home and away games and possible criminal charges.  He will also get stick from Celtic fans for life and more than likely every other football fan as well.
